But after making a tangible impact at Milan, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star has been tipped to extend his stay in Italy.

"Whatever happens, happens," Arena told LA Galaxy's official website. "Whatever the outcome of the deal, it will be for the good of the club. We will just see what happens as we would with any other Galaxy transfer.

"We will always put the needs of the club and the team first. I just hope that the news about Beckham doesn't distract my players during our preparations."

Other media reports claimed the former England skipper wants to buy a luxurious mansion nearby Milan, which further suggests that he intends to settle down at the San Siro.
