Sfaxien coach Abdel Karim Al-Shafei said that he’s not ashamed of his team’s 2-1 loss to Ahli in the CAF Super Cup on Friday.

The Red Devils secured their fourth Super Cup title, thanks to the win where Angolan striker Flavio Amado excelled by scoring a brace.

"We matched Ahli’s performance and we did our best to win the game, but in the end we were not lucky enough," Al-Shafei told Tunisian paper Al-Sahafa.

The Tunisian tactician added that Ahmed Fathi’s off the line clearance on 38 minutes was a turning point in the clash.

"If that first half ball went in when we were still 0-0, it’d have changed the whole game.

"Despite the loss, I think we produced a solid display against the African champions in Cairo."

Sfaxien took part in the Super Cup after winning their third CAF Confederations Cup in November 2008.
