Al-Halawani scores as Veria seal league win

Al-Halawani, who came through Ahli's youth ranks, netted the goal after converting a penalty-kick on 77 minutes.

Having won the game, Veria advanced to 12th place in the league table with 24 points.

The former Apollon Kalamaria man has notched three goals in the league this season, in addition to another two in the Greek Cup.

Al-Halawani moved to Veria by the beginning of the ongoing season for free after his contract with Apollon ran out in the summer.
