The Egyptian midfielder hit the second goal of the game in the 25th minute after Jurgen Cavens had opened the scoring for Lierse early on.

Frederic Frans added a third before half-time when he connected with Abdul-Wahed's corner kick. Cavens completed the rout with his second of the game four minutes from time.

Sherif Al-Beyali also featured from the start for Lierse, but Ahmed Samir was suspended.

Lierse remain second of the table with 50 points, five adrift of leaders Sint-Truidense.
