League leaders Ahli failed to win in their last three matches, the last of which was a 2-2 draw at Asyut Petroleum on Monday.

"Ahli's draw with Asyut after their loss to Ismaili refreshed our hopes of challenging on the title, or at least second place," Petrojet boss Mokhtar told FilGoal.com.

Petrojet are now five points adrift of the league holders and two points less than second-placed Ismaili.

Like Ahli, Mokhtar's side have not won in their last three league games, which included a 2-2 draw with the Red Devils last week.
