The 41-year-old took over from Helmi Toulan last week, but was defeated by ENPPI in his debut with the Cairo side.
Despite being third from bottom, five points adrift of the safety zone, Hassan is optimistic over Telecom's chances of surviving this term.
"I think we can stay in the top division amidst the unexpected results in the league this season," the Egypt legend told FilGoal.com.
"The final stage of the league usually brings a lot of surprises."
Hassan managed to help Masri avoid relegation last season, even though they were favorites to go down before his appointment.
Old Problems
The former Ahli and Zamalek star indicated that he is not concerned with problems involving his team members and the previous technical staff.
EX-coach Toulan kept several players on the fringes for disciplinary reasons, including veteran striker Magdi Abdul-Aati.
"I am not concerned with old problems involving the previous manager. Any player who is ready will play and Abdul-Aati is part of the team," Hassan added.
