Les Blues face Lithuania on Saturday in the final phase of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, and both sides meet again on April 1st at Stade de France in Paris.

Although the venue of the return leg witnessed France's World Cup triumph in 1998, left-back Evra is convinced his team's chances in both matches are alike.

"In any case, we are always playing away from home," said the Manchester United man."We play against Ireland (in France) and the stadium is full of Irish people, against Scotland it's the same."

During February's 2-0 defeat to Argentina at Stade Velodrome in Marseille, a number of France players were heavily booed by their own fans.

Evra bluntly stated that he prefers having no spectators to suffering unnecessary pressure from aggressive fans.

"It is really unbelievable. You get the impression that sometimes it would be better if we told the public to stay at home and not come and support the players," he said.

"I am not saying that is the solution but you (journalists) asked me the question and I answered honestly. But if the fans whistle a player after five minutes of the match…

"We have already spoken about it amongst the players. You come onto the pitch and get whistled already. You have to ask the public, maybe they don't like football."
