According to German paper Bild, Ribery's agent was set to meet the chairman of Adidas, Nike's main competitor, but the French ace opted to extend his rapport with the American company.

A while back, several media reports claimed that Barcelona, whose kits are produced by Nike, want to run the rule over the 25-year-old.

Ribery, who joined Bayern in 2007 from Marseille, stated once that the Spanish side's overtures appeal to him.
