The nomad Egyptian has worked with many coaches in no less than seven European clubs throughout his career, but believes that Bruce is one coach that stands out from the rest.

"I've worked with a lot of good managers of different nationalities during my career. But in my opinion, Bruce is the best I've worked for," Mido told the Wigan Evening Post.

"I've played in quite a few countries for some big clubs, and judging with that experience, Steve has been doing everything right.

"His training and management is excellent, and he gets on well with the lads and that is what you need from a manager."

Future Wish

Mido, who's playing at Wigan on loan from Middlesbrough until the end of the season, added that he'd like to seal a permanent move to The Latics.

"I'm trying to do my best here in order to have a good future.

"I don't know what will happen in the summer, but if you were to ask me now what I'd like to happen, I would love to be here next season."
