The French international was injured during Arsenal's UEFA Champions League clash against Villareal, after Giuseppe Rossi fell awkwardly on his knee.

The same fixture saw keeper Manuel Almunia pick up an ankle injury, which will keep him out for up to three weeks following another clash with Rossi.

Injury-marred Arsenal are also without left-back Gael Clichy, who is out for two weeks with a back injury.

Following their 1-1 draw with Villareal, The Gunners will be facing Wigan Athletic in the Premiership on Saturday.
