"I will no longer play for Zamalek," the 27-year-old told FilGoal.com on Friday.
"I took that decision after realizing that nobody cares about me within the club. They don't want me to remain a Zamalek player, and so do I."
Hamza, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, sought to join Swedish second-division side Vasalunds IF last month but Zamalek turned down their offer.
The White Knights' response apparently infuriated Hamza, who abandoned training in return.
"I will not take part in training until my contract expires. I don't care if they decide to deduct money from my dues, they did it before without reasonable grounds," he added.
Hamza, a one-club man, has been an integral member of Zamalek's squad since being promoted to the senior team in 2000.
Despite his undoubted talent, Hamza was consistently criticized for failing to play to his potential.
His theatrical dives and off-field problems hindered his progress, pundits believe.
