Nasr took the lead when Rayan Belal latch onto a well-threaded Hossam Ghaly through to go one-on-one with veteran goalie Mohamed Al-Deayea and slot home.

Hilal refused to give up and exerted extra efforts in the second half, and Sweden midfielder Christian Wilhelmsson brought the score level in the dying minutes.

Visitors Hilal could have won the game, but they squandered a multitude of clear-cut chances after the interval.

Egyptian ace Ghaly was named in the starting eleven and was taken off on 84 minutes, when his team were still maintaining a one-goal cushion.
