Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder is set to miss his team's crucial clash against Barcelona due to a hamstring injury. The club announced on Sunday.

The Dutch international, torn his left hamstring muscles after coming on as a second-half substitute in Real's 1-0 win over Recreativo Huelva on Saturday.

Now Los Merengues have confirmed that Sneijder will be out of the game for up to five weeks, including the six-pointer against Barca on May 3rd at Santiago Bernabeu.

The news will come as a massive blow for Real coach Juande Ramos, as the Barca clash was his team's only chance of decreasing the gap with the Blaugranas.

Real are currently second in the Spanish Primera Liga table, six points behind leaders Barcelona.
