Ahli midfielder Ahmed Hassan took part in the team's Monday training after recovering from an ankle injury that kept him out of the Kano Pillars first-leg.

The Egyptian international joined his teammates in a light training on Monday following their arrival from the CAF Champions League clash where they drew 1-1 with Pillars.

In the meantime, the club's medical staff are doing their best to prepare Mohamed Barakat and skipper Shadi Mohamed for the league game against Zamalek on Thursday.

While Mohamed is suffering from a muscle injury, Barakat has been out with a hamstring problem that also forced him to sit out the Kano Pillars trip.

Ahli are currently second in the Egyptian Premier League table with 52 points, two points behind leaders Ismaili, as the Red Devils have two games in hand.
