FC Sion president Christian Constantin confirmed that his club have not received any notice from FIFA confirming that Essam Al-Hadari will be suspended.
The guardian's former club Ahli earlier announced that FIFA will suspend the player for four months starting August.
The Red Devils' website added that Sion will be fined 900.000 Euros and receive a ban from making any deals over the next two transfer windows.
Al-Hadari joined Sion in the Swiss league in February 2008 without Ahli's consent. However, the keeper lost his regular spot at the club this season.
"I informed Al-Hadari that he will be a second choice to Nicolas Beney until the end of the season," Constantin added.
