Lierse were ousted from the Belgian Cup after slumping to a 4-1 loss to Genk on Wednesday in the semi-final second leg.
The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw, which makes the aggregate result 6-3 for the first division side.
Egyptian duo Mohamed Abdul-Wahed and Ahmed Samir were named in Lierse's starting eleven and played the whole 90 minutes, but failed to make a tangible impact.
After a goalless first half, Genk took the lead on 47 minutes when Tom De Mul broke the deadlock, and five minutes later Stein Huysegems doubled their lead.
Lierse's Kevin Janssens reduced the arrears six minutes from time, but Huysegems and De Mul added two more goals on 89 and 92 respectively.
