On winning the game, the Catalans registered their seventh consecutive win in the Spanish league.

The game also marked a new record for Barcelona, who unprecedentedly took their scoring tally to 92 goals this season.

Josep Guardiola's side are now six points clear at the top of the table, while Sevilla are in third place with 57 points.
