Following his team's exit from the Italian Cup semi-final at the hands of Lazio, Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri didn't seem hurt by neither the result nor the fans' angry chants.

After losing the first-leg 2-1 in Rome, a defeat with a similar result in Turin on Wednesday denied The Old Lady the chance to reach the competition's final.

"We wanted to reach the final and try to win it. We didn't manage that, never mind," Ranieri said after the game.

The Cup defeat means that Juve will finish the season without any silverware, after the club's elimination from the UEFA Champions League last 16 round.

Juventus are also trailing third in Serie A, ten points behind leaders Inter Milan, and the negative results have forced fans to hit out at Ranieri during the Lazio loss.

"I heard the chants. It's only right that when things go well you accept the praise and when things go badly you accept the insults.

"The public is always right and we must take it all," concluded the former Chelsea manager.
