Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri still believes his side have the upper hand over league challengers Ismaili despite being held to a goalless draw by Zamalek in the Cairo derby.

The Red Devils' failure to claim a fourth win over their arch-rivals this season helped Ismaili retain their position on top of the Egyptian Premier League table.

Ismaili, who played a game more than Ahli, have 54 points, one ahead of the second-placed Red Devils.

"We still have the better chance of winning the title," Al-Badri told the post-match press conference.

"A win over Tersana in our game in hand will put us in the driving seat because we will be two points clear of Ismaili at the top.

"Anyway, I'm not satisfied today because we dropped two points in the title race."

Al-Badri also gave credit to Zamalek for putting in a spirited display at Military Academy Stadium

"Zamalek were a bit cautious but their youth players produced a very good performance that will give them confidence," he added.
