Ibrahimovic has raised concerns over his Inter future, after recently claiming that he might leave San Siro in order to achieve UEFA Champions League glory.

"My gut feeling is that Ibrahimovic will stay at Inter," the Portuguese tactician told a press conference.

"But if president Moratti decides to sell him for €5million, then I'll buy him myself. Maybe even for 10, given how hard it is these days to invest in the banks."

The Nerazzuri were eliminated from the Champions League last 16 round for the third successive year, and Mourinho understands if such a record upsets Ibrahimovic.

"What Ibra said was no different to what Kaka or Tevez might say. Even I have said such things and it is easy to interpret things in a twisted way," Mourinho added.

"If, for example, I say that I want to add the Scudetto and Liga to my Premiership title, some might write that I want to leave Inter. But this is just an interpretation."

Ibrahimovic is Inter's and the league's top scorer so far this season with 20 goals.

In his first season in Serie A, Mourinho is on course to leading Inter for their fourth consecutive league title.

The Milan club are currently leading the league table with 74 points, ten adrift of their nearest rivals AC Milan and Juventus.
