Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko is unlikely to extend his loan spell with AC Milan and will return to Stamford Bridge, according to his agent.

Shevchenko was loaned out to old club Milan this term, in an attempt to regain his lost form following two poor seasons with Chelsea.

However, the 32-year-old Ukrainian failed to revive his deadly goalscoring touch at San Siro, and it seems that the Rossoneri are not interested in an extension.

"Shevchenko is on loan at Milan from Chelsea and I believe he will go back to London," agent Fabio Parisi said in Calciomercato.it.

"Truth be told, I don’t think the Rossoneri will decide to keep him.

"I don’t know anything about the rapport between Sheva and his team-mates and coach Carlo Ancelotti. The thing is that he is on loan and, considering what happened this season, he will return to Chelsea."

Sheva expressed his relief after leaving the Blues last summer and his future with the Premiership side remains in the balance.

"It remains to be seen whether he will remain at Chelsea, though," added Parisi.

"It depends on their new coach and what he wants to do. It’s unlikely he will rescind his contract and I doubt he will move back to Italy this summer. It’s up to him to decide."
