The Old Lady are having a mediocre season, where they were knocked out of both the Coppa Italia semi-final and The UEFA Champions League last 16 round.

Claudio Ranieri's team are also third in the Serie A table with 65 points, nine behind leaders Inter Milan, and Buffon is hoping new blood can change that next season.

"I have a contract until 2013 and there is still time until then. But we will also look at the team we will have next season," The Italian number one told L'Equipe.

"I hope that it is even more competitive. I want to understand with peace of mind what happens inside the club so I can make the best decision."

The 31-year-old was one of few superstars who stayed loyal to Juventus despite the club's demotion to Serie B in the aftermath of the 2006 Calciopoli scandal.
