The Italian league's joint top-scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic inspired the win with a goal and an assist for Sulley Muntari.

Inter are now 10 points clear of AC Milan on top of the table, four weeks before the end of the competition. Milan have five games left though as they visit Catania on Sunday.

"I think we'll do it. It seems like the Scudetto will never arrive but it will," said Inter boss Jose Mourinho after the game.

"It's my first year here and I've given my all to the team. I like Inter and I'll be happy to celebrate the Scudetto with these fans."
