The two teams will clash in the African World Cup qualifications final stage Group C game in Algeria on June 7th.

Ribery, whose French wife comes from an Algerian descent, is a keen follower of the Algeria's games and results.

"I always watch Algeria's games with my wife and in-laws. It made me very passionate towards the Greens," Ribery told Algerian paper Al-Hadaf.

"Egypt are the best team in Africa at the moment but I'm confident Algeria can register a positive result on June 7th."

Zidan Praise

The French international added that fellow Bundesliga player Mohamed Zidan is one player that stands out from the rest of the Egypt squad.

"He (Zidan) is a very good and skilful player, but he took sometime to adapt with life at Borussia Dortmund."

"I think he has a great future ahead of him."

Benchwarmer Zidan scored six Bundesliga goals for Dortmund, since joining the Black Yellows from Hamburg in the summer.
