Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola said that the club will appeal with UEFA against the bans of Eric Abidal and Daniel Alves ahead of the Champions League final.
The Blaugrana are poised to face Manchester United late this month without the influential duo, who were both sanctioned in the semi-final against Chelsea.
Abidal was given a straight red card after an alleged professional foul on France mate Nicolas Anelka, while Brazil full-back Alves was handed a second caution.
"Of course, we will appeal Abidal and Alves' cards out of respect for them," Barca coach Guardiola told the club's official website.
Barcelona could be without Thierry Henry in Rome as the French ace is still nursing a knee injury.
