Jose, who is widely regarded as the most successful coach in the Cairo club's history, will leave by the end of the month to take charge of Angola.
Many pundits suggested that the Portuguese's exit could be the start of a downfall for the African giants, who amassed some 18 titles during his reign. However, Shadi played down the ramifications of the imminent change.
"Jose's exit shouldn’t affect us as players. We are professionals and our main objective is how to be winners," the veteran defender told FilGoal.com.
"No doubt that he is a much respected manager among us and we all love him as a person, but in football there is no room for emotions."
Shadi laughed off rumors of a training-ground dispute with Jose, who installed him as captain at the expense of Essam Al-Hadari a few years ago.
"There is no problem with Jose; people who spread these rumors hate Ahli and only want us to fail," he added.
"No way that Jose can play me if there is a problem."
Shadi led Ahli's defense in Monday's 1-0 league victory over Harras Hodoud, which kept the holders' title hopes alive.
