The controversial defender has been without a club since terminating his contract with Ismaili last month after a row over his dues.

He is contemplating another spell with Zamalek but only if Mansour, who brought him to the Cairo giants in 2004, win the club's presidential elections later this month.

"I'm waiting for the elections outcome to complete a move to Zamalek," Saied told FilGoal.com.

"I've already reached an agreement with Mansour. I hope he wins the elections because I want to rejoin Zamalek after enjoying one of my best spells there."

Ironically, Saied's stint with Zamalek was far from stable.

Actions like provoking Ahli fans in the Cairo derby via gestures and spitting at teammate Awuley Quaye 'Junior' landed him in troubles.

He then spent unsuccessful spells with Turkish duo Rizespor and Ankaragucu and Egyptian side Ismaili.

"If Mansour does not win, I will not play for any Egyptian club," Saied said, reiterating his desire to play in Europe.

"I can't play for any club other than Ahli or Zamalek. Joining Ahli seems a distant possibility so if I couldn't join Zamalek I will move abroad."
