Cannavaro, 35, penned a one-year deal with his former club as his contract with Real was due to expire by the end of June.

As soon as Juve agreed terms with Cannavaro last month, a Bianconeri contingent vehemently protested, citing the defender's decision to leave after the Calciopoli scandal.

However, the 2006 FIFA Player of the Year seems to pay little attention to the case.

"I am happy to have returned to Turin and to have the opportunity to wear the black and white jersey again," Cannavaro said.

"I am sorry that for a section of the fans the anger for having been transferred is greater then the appreciation for the glorious seasons which we lived together.

"I am sure that I can convince the most skeptical through my work, professionalism and the passion with which I will face this new adventure."
