Nasr midfielder Hossam Ghaly said on Friday that he might rejoin his former club Ahli in the close season.

"Ahli opened talks with (Saudi side) Nasr to sign me," Ghaly told Saudi paper Al-Jazirah.

"But Ahli are yet to meet Nasr's valuation for me. They wanted to sign me a one-year loan deal for 100,000 euros but Nasr want more than double this figure."

Ghaly came through Ahli's youth ranks and impressed in his few seasons with the senior team.

The Red Devils' coach Manuel Jose said the Egyptian international had the potential to become one of the best players in the world.

He was tipped for big things when he joined Tottenham Hotspur from Dutch side Feyenoord in 2006 but his infamous shirt tantrum cut short his Premiership spell.

Ghaly was forced to leave Europe after failing to find European suitors, joining Nasr last January for ₤1.6 million.

But Ahli could bring his Gulf adventure to a premature end.

"Nasr will have the final decision over my future because I still have three years to run on my contract with them," Ghaly added.
