Ittihad boss Taha Basri denied that the Alexandrian outfit are aiming to bring back defender Hamada Youssef from Arab Contractors this summer.

Youssef revealed earlier that he is hoping for a return to his former club, claiming that Ittihad were ready to open talks with him.

However, Basri, who worked with the 34-year-old defender at ENPPI, ruled out the allegations as he implied that Youssef's age is an issue.

"There are no talks with Hamada Youssef over a transfer," the Ittihad coach told FilGoal.com.

"The age factor will be decisive in our search for new players this summer. I will meet with the chairman (Mohamed Moselhi) soon to discuss our plans."

Ittihad finished 11th in the Egyptian Premier League this term, but Basri indicated recently that he has higher ambitions for next season.
