The veteran defender insisted to sign a first-category contract after establishing himself as a starter over the last two seasons.

"I met with chairman Mohamed Moselhi on Tuesday night, and I put my signature to a new two-year contract," Abdul-Fattah told FilGoal.com.

"My annual wage will be EGP 650,000 in the upcoming season, and EGP 700,000 in the one after."

The former Tersana player spent the last couple of years at the Alexandria side for an annual salary of EGP 200,000.

Abdul-Fattah took part in the majority of the recently-ended season matches, and thus Ittihad board couldn't turn him down and increased his wage.
