"Hassan convened with the club board and agreed to lead the club in the First Division," Sorour told FilGoal.com.

"Now the board will start preparing for the new season in accordance with Hassan."

The temperamental coach took over Telecom in March, in an attempt to save the club from relegation.

However, Telecom could only secure eleven points from their final eight games to finish the season in 14th place, just one point behind the safety zone.

Sorour added that Hassan will be working with the same technical staff that was under his disposal this season.
