"I haven't signed yet but I have agreed for another year," the 32-year-old Ballack, will run out of contract this summer, said after the 2-1 win over Everton.

Ballack reasserted his teammates' recent notion that AC Milan's Carlo Ancelotti will likely be their next manager.

"It's not done yet but it looks like he will be coach," the Germany skipper added.

"I haven't worked under him and I don't know him very well but you can see from the work he has done at Milan that he is a successful manager."

Chelsea are currently looking for a replacement to Dutchman Guus Hiddink, who finished his interim job at Stamford Bridge.

Despite impressing with the Blues, Chelsea were firm that there is no room for extending Hiddink's contract as he is already in charge of Russia.
