The Egyptian FA said that Harras Hodoud coach Tarek Al-Ashri could be sanctioned following his criticism to the national team's policy on Sunday.

Al-Ashri was furious after his side grabbed a last-gasp 2-1 win over Ahli Tripoli in the Confederation Cup round of 16 as he slammed Egypt coach Hassan Shehata and FA officials.

The FA said that Al-Ashri will be questioned for his tantrum, implying that a fine could be imposed against him.

The former Egypt international was unhappy with Shehata's selection of trio Ahmed Eid Abdul-Malek, Ahmed Saied and Ahmed Abdul-Ghani for a friendly against Oman on Saturday.

Al-Ashri, who hardly comes out with outspoken comments, has also blasted FA officials for scheduling the Oman game at this timing.
