England beat Kazakhstan 4-0 in Almaty to make it six wins out of six games in the 2010 World Cup qualifications.

The away win enforces the Three Lions' place at the top of qualifications Group 6 with 18 points, eight ahead of second-placed Croatia, who'll meet Ukraine later today.

Manchester City new signing Gareth Barry put Fabio Capello's men in front on 39 minutes, before Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey added a second six minutes later.

Wayne Rooney put the result beyond doubt by finding the back of the next in the 72nd minutes and Frank Lampard wrapped up the big win by converting from the spot.

The defeat leaves Kazakhstan in penultimate place in the group with three points.
