Real Madrid have landed Brazilian playmaker Kaka from AC Milan, the Spanish giants said on Tuesday.

Kaka signed a six-year contract at the Bernabeu, but the transfer fee is yet to be revealed, even though reports suggest a record €68million.

The 27-year-old passed a medical in his homeland as he's currently with the Selecao, who take on Paraguay on Wednesday.

"Everything I’ve always done for Milan has been by mutual agreement, from the moment I arrived until my departure today, I’m leaving by the front door," Kaka told a news conference in Brazil.

"I’ve won everything that I wanted as a player and this is a new motivation for me.

"I’m sure Real Madrid will build a competitive team which can start winning titles again."

Kaka is the first Real signing since the arrival of new chairman Florentino Perez, who promised a number of high-profile players this summer.

The midfield wizard was often reluctant to leave San Siro, but Milan's need for cash provoked his exit.

However, the Rossoneri board will have to make up for selling Kaka as the fans won't easily swallow the departure of their favorite star.
