Egypt coach Hassan Shehata is unsatisfied with his team's 4-3 loss to Brazil in the FIFA Confederations Cup group stage, despite the 'incredible performance' the Pharaohs put in on Monday.

The Selecao snatched a hard-fought victory over the African champions, thanks to a late penalty-kick converted by talented schemer Kaka.

The Egyptians were by far the better side in the game, therefore Shehata believes his men shouldn't have lost.

"A draw would have been a more logical result," the former Zamalek star said. "We put on an incredible performance, but we shouldn't be ecstatic and focus more on the upcoming games."

Egypt are facing Italy on Thursday, and another loss for Shehata's team would shatter their qualification hopes.

"We need to put our encounter with Brazil aside and concentrate on the next match against Italy to pull off a good result," he added.

"Our main objective for the time being is to reach the next round."

Egypt lie third in Group B on goal difference, while USA are languishing at the bottom after losing 3-1 to leaders Italy on Monday.
