Kaka believes Florentino Perez's policy of bringing high-profile players to Real Madrid will drive the club towards success.

Newly-elected chairman Perez, renowned for his ability to lure stars to Santiago Bernabeu, signed Brazilian playmaker Kaka for around €68 million from Italy's AC Milan.

He also agreed a world record fee, believed to be in the region of €94 million, for Manchester United wizard Cristiano Ronaldo.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta criticized Perez's transfer policy but Kaka believes it will be very beneficial for Real.

"Florentino has his way of doing things; his way of investing, and it's not a bad method, but rather good for football," Kaka told the club's oficial website.

"The president of Barcelona has been very critical, but we are strong. The only way to build a competitive team is with an ambitious project like Florentino's."

Real, who finished the Primera Liga as runners up behind winners and arch-rivals Barcelona, are also tracking Valencia striker David Villa and Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery.

Kaka will link up with his new teammates following the end of Brazil's Confederations Cup campaign.

The 27-year-old scored twice, including a last-gasp penalty, to help the Selecao snatch a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Egypt in their tournament's opener.
