While Egypt are busy competing in the FIFA Confederations Cup, Rwanda have started their preparations for next month's crucial World Cup qualifier.

The Rwandan federation said that Croatian coach Tucak Branko had named a provisional 27-man squad ahead of a friendly versus DR Congo on June 30th.

However, a host of the Amavubi squad members didn’t make the squad as APR Rwanda players stayed with their club.

APR beat Muzinga of Burundi 3-0 this week in the first game of the East African Military Games and more than ten Rwanda players were present.

Minnows Rwanda will face a tough test against Egypt on July 5th, as the African champions are in a must-win situation in Group C.
