Taha Basri's side paid Zamalek EGP250,000 to acquire the services of the 26-year-old for one season.

Al-Morsi has failed to prove his worth at Zamalek since joining from then second-division side Mansoura, who earned Premier League promotion for the coming season.

He was given limited opportunities due to his poor fitness level, according to Zamalek's Swiss coach Michel Decastel.

The Cairo giants opted to loan him out after signing Telecom Egypt striker Ahmed Gaafar.

Reports also suggested the club would offload veteran frontman and their all-time top scorer Abdul-Halim Ali.
