"Zamalek wanted to keep me, but the club couldn’t afford to pay the rest of the installments of my transfer."

Kamal joined Zamalek last summer, alongside midfielder Mahmoud Samir, for a total of EGP 10million.

The Cairo club have only paid EGP 2.5million of the deal, which suggests that the out-of-favor Samir is also on his way back to the Green Mountain.
