A statistic carried out by FIFA showed that Egypt playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika finished the Confederations Cup group stage joint-leader for most assists with Spain's Joan Capdevila.

The Ahli man produced two pinpoint crosses and a through pass to help striker Mohamed Zidan and midfielder Mohamed Hommos score against Brazil and Italy.

Abou-Treika also came first in the number of completed crosses, after the 30-year-old dished out nine crosses during Egypt's three games in the competition.

"Abou-Treika showed why his creative talents are considered to be without equal in Africa," read FIFA's report.

The Statistic said that the Pharaohs' midfielder Mohamed Shawky came as joint-leader with South Africa's Sibinsio Gaxa in the number of successful tackles.

Both players completed nine tackles.

"Shawky was a colossal figure for Egypt throughout their South Africa 2009 campaign," FIFA's report read.

"But with the Pharaohs heading home, the hosts' Sibonsio Gaxa must be favourite to claim the title of top tackler."

Among the Egyptians mentioned in the report was goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari, who came in second position with Iraq's Mohamed Kassid for making 15 successful saves.
