Egypt midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou was named second-best foreign player in the UAE First League's 2008-2009 season in the annual awards announced by the Emirate FA.
Abd-Rabou was instrumental in Ahli Dubai's domestic triumph last term, but missed out on the first place to Ain's Chilean striker Jorge Valdivia.
The on-loan Ismaili schemer, who was named best player in the African Cup of Nations last year, scored seven goals in his first season in the UAE.
Abd-Rabou's mate Ismail Hammadi notched the top award for best local player, beating UAE internationals Ali Al-Wuhaibi and Ismail Mattar.
