Middlesbrough are looking to loan out Mido for a season-long loan rather than selling him, according to a report from Daily Mirror.

The report claimed that the relegated Boro are aiming to raise their funds by loaning out Mido, Jeremie Aliadiere and Gary O'Neil.

It also indicated that the trio has been offered to clubs this week and that the Yorkshire club are awaiting bids for them, with Mido valued at £1million.

Mido, who spent half of last season on loan at Wigan, was poised to leave Boro for the Latics this summer, but Steve Bruce's departure hindered the permanent move.

The Egyptian striker had a good start at the Riverside last term, but his injury problems forced Gareth Southgate to use him as backup for Sanli Tuncay and Afonso Alves.

Mido's Egypt mate Mohamed Shawky is also tipped to leave the club, with former club Ahli showing interest of late.
