The 24-year-old has been out of the game since damaging his cruciate ligament during the Dervishes' 1-0 loss to Ahli in the Egyptian Premier League last January.

However, club doctor Magdi Al-Baz told the club's official website that Shahat's rehabilitation is well on track and that he should be back in training by late July.

Shahat is currently undergoing treatment in Germany, alongside teammate Omar Gamal, who similarly damaged his cruciate towards the end of last season.

Al-Baz said that Gamal needs at least three months before he can train with the rest of the Ismaili team.
