The White Knights defeated the Ukrainian side 2-0 in an exhibition game held on Sunday as part of both teams' preparations for next season, thanks to strikes from Amr Zaki and Sayed Mosaad.

The 11-time Egyptian champions were quite coherent and put on a good performance, comparing with their previous friendly that saw them slump to a 3-0 loss to French Ligue 1 outfit Sochaux.

"Zamalek learned from their mistakes in their previous game with Sochaux and the coaching staff have almost determined the regular starting eleven," Youssef told the Cairo club's official website.

"Our performance was praiseworthy, even Shakhtar tactician Mircea Lucescu was impressed with the display our players produced.
