The British tabloid reported that Spurs offered the former Arsenal star a 'pay-as-you-play' deal worth around €45,000 per week.

Reportedly, Sunderland are also in the hunt for Vieira along with French Ligue 1 outfits Paris Saint Germain and Lyon.

The 33-year-old is said to be eyeing a new adventure in order to increase his chances of getting back in France fold before the 2010 World Cup.

Vieira was hit by numerous injuries over the past few years, which hampered his progress with the national side and Inter, the club he joined from Juventus in 2006.
