"Abou-Treika met with the football committee members and coach Hossam Al-Badri on Tuesday noon, and everybody has agreed that he should remain within our ranks," Egyptian champions' marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com.

The Emirati side wanted to land the 30-year-old this summer on a season-long loan deal for around EGP20 million.

"Loaning Abou-Treika out in the meantime is not acceptable; we really need his services for next term," Al-Qaeyi added.

The Egypt star Joined Ahli in the winter of 2004 from Tersana, and has become one of the most prominent figures at the Cairo outfit ever since.
