Al-Gabbas, who joined Lierse from Masri a couple of days ago, was introduced as a second half substitute to notch the eighth and ninth goals, after having a hand in the seventh.

Egyptian midfielder Sherif Al-Baili, who played during the first half, scored the fifth goal.

Ghanaian duo Akwetey Mensah and William Mensah, who moved to Lierse from Masri and Harras Hodoud respectively in the close season, also participated in the game.

On the other hand, Lierse's Egyptian pair Islam Shokri and Youssef Fawaz took no part in the game.
