Harras Hodoud coach Traek Al-Ashri said that his team are capable of challenging for more local and continental trophies.

After winning last season's Egyptian Cup, Hodoud beat Ahli 2-0 on Tuesday to capture the Egyptian Super Cup.

"Now we can be one of the top clubs in Egypt, and not only aim to rub shoulders with Ahli, Zamalek and Ismaili," Al-Ashri said after the Super Cup win.

"We showed it tonight as we were more organized than Ahli, and we have surely earned the win."

Ahli recently-appointed coach Hossam Al-Badri started the game with the new 4-4-2 line up, a formation Al-Ashri was the first to introduce to Hodoud.

"We have more experience implementing this system, but Ahli can do a lot of progress using it if given more time," the former Egypt defender added.

Al-Ashri urged Ahli fans to give their team more time to gel, stressing that the Red Devils are going through a transformation period and many negatives will arise before they get back on track.
